New Venue: The Velvet & Oak

The Velvet & Oak. A new venue in the heart of historic Snohomish.

Built in 1901, this building at 908 First Street has lived many lives — a bar, a shoe cobbler's shop, a layered accumulation of renovations that buried its original bones under plaster, aluminum, and decades of good intentions. After an in-depth renovation this building is now home to a stunning new event space on First Street and will start a new life as an event venue. Crystal chandeliers and exposed brick welcome events up to forty nine and we know they will be grand!

To highlight the new venue, we partnered with some of our favorite local vendors on a recent styled shoot complete with two looks and two different Wedding Welcome Gifts to pair.

Thanks a Brunch! For the first look we designed our gift to match the soft pastel pinks, soft yellows, greens, and whites of the room along with a few must haves after a late night. Local tea, honey, florals and muffins were so enjoyed!

The hand painted custom bottle of bubbles was one of our favorite details.

For the second style, it was a moody jewel toned affair. Chocolate cherries, a small bud vase of seasonal blooms and a bottle of bubbly become a favorite welcome to those staying upstairs in one of the rooms at 908.
